Rare Antique Early 19th C Whaling Tool Flensing Iron Cutting Spade Blacksmith

This is a very rare rare antique 19th Century (1820s or 1830s) whaling tool flensing iron cutting spade made by a blacksmith of hand forged iron.According to a couple of reference documents, this would be used to separate blubber and break down the whale after capture, incredible piece of maritime history, outstanding condition, ready to go.
The spade measures 24″ Long and the blade measures 3 1/8″ to 3 7/8″ at its widest. Please see all pictures for a full condition report.
